We are a startup indie game development studio and are looking for a Lead Game Designer / Programmer who will be responsible for leading a small team (~5) of programmers and artists to design and develop games for mobile platforms and PC.

Our primary focus is on finding an individual who is passionate about gaming and game development, with extensive knowledge of all aspects that go along with developing a unique and enjoyable gaming experience. The Lead Game designer will be responsible for the project as a whole, from concept design to development and testing.

Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain key parts of game

- Create and evaluate original yet marketable concepts for free-to-play game ideas.

- Focus on understanding the market and your target group.

- Go from ideas to detailed concepts, test them with users and decide on their implementation.

- Ensure game meets technical goals regarding stability, performance, and platform requirements

- Work with the art, engineering, and design team to develop a unified vision of the game and schedule targets

- Have knowledge of various methods involved with monetizing a free-to-play game.

Requirements:

- 2+ years of game development experience

- Worked on at least 1 commercially successful game

- Knowledge of 2D / 3D programming

- Must be fluent in java and Objective-C

- Strong math skills

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Bonus:

- Knowledge of tools such as Photoshop, 3ds Max / Maya will be a plus.

- Fluency in other programming languages especially C++ and / or C#.
