Job Description:

Role Summary:

This individual would be responsible for developing web applications and other information systems along with be responsible for system integrations and database interactions. This individual should be able to understand development frameworks and proactively seek innovative solutions to problems and make recommendations for implementations. This individuals ability to work on sharp deadlines is crucial and this ability will ultimately dictate his/her success in the role.

Primary Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Development of web applications and other information system applications including system integrations and database interactions.
  • Development based on unified development methods.
  • Test all developed applications and/or modules prior to releases being shipped to the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Department.
  • Support the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Department in testing of all developed applications.
  • Gain a complete understanding of relevant development frameworks and guidelines and apply to daily software development.
  • Seek innovative solutions to problems and make recommendations for implementations.
  • Maintain high level of personal presentation standards and business dress.
  • Remain self-motivated, show initiative (i.e. be proactive), and focus on solutions (i.e. problem solving methodology).
  • Keep up to date with the knowledge required to hold this position.
Technical Expertise and Experience with the Following:

  • Good knowledge of ASP.NET (C#, VB.NET) programming (ASP.NET MVC framework, ASP.NET AJAX), Web Services, JSON, XML, SOAP, SQL, and front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, XHTML, AJAX, HTML5. Appreciation of modern .NET development toolbox, including ASP.net MVC3/4, VS 2012, and Nuget.
  • Good knowledge of object oriented principles and design patterns.
  • Experience of working with ORMs (e.g. Entity Framework, Nhibernate, ADO.NET Entity Framework, Telerik OpenAccess ORM) and data persistence.
  • Implement user interfaces, new services and application prototypes in a rapid, iterative customer-centric development environment with awareness of building APIs for web scale and consuming APIs from third-parties.
  • Detailed working knowledge of software design techniques, including object-oriented analysis and design.
